Biju Patnaik University of Technology

With the intention to focus on higher technological education in Odisha, Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) was founded in 2003. Currently 110 colleges with 58,000 students are affiliated with the University. The University imparts graduate and postgraduate training in the disciplines of engineering and architecture, business management and hotel management, computer studies and pharmacy.

It plans to introduce B-Voc, M-Voc, and Ph.D-Voc and become a partner in the national mission of skill development. The University also conducts ICT based training programs which is one of the digital initiatives of BPUT with the objective of reaching the untraversed path.

To make education more beneficial and meaningful, the university has adopted a model of PPIP (Public-private-Industry-partnership). This will help the students gain adequate exposure in relevant industry and sector.

The main objective of the University was to ensure a high quality of students coming out of the technical colleges through a common curriculum and uniform evaluation.

Admission in UG courses in Biju Patnaik University of Technology

B.Pharm

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with Science from Odisha board or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject are eligible to apply.

B.Tech

Candidates should have passed 10 plus 2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject can apply for BTech courses.

B.Arch. and B Planning

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics as subject of in 10 plus 2 and scored minimum of 50% in aggregate can apply for the above course.

Selection of candidates is on the basis of JEE Mains and NATA scores and for B.Pharma it is on the basis of entrance exam conducted by OJEE. For details see Entrance Exams.
