Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar
Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar or IIT BBS) is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 2008. Situated at the foot hills of Barunei Hill, IIT Bhubaneswar provides a unique serene and pollution free academic environment. Although IIT Bhubaneswar had started functioning from two transit campuses in the Bhubaneswar city during its inception period, majority of residential and academic activities have now started in the permanent campus at Argul.
Academic Programs in IIT Bhubaneswar
IIT Bhubaneswar presently offers a 4 year B.Tech. programme in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). In addition from the year 2016-17, it offers 5 year dual degree programme in civil and mechanical engineering. It also offers 2-year M.Sc. programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology and Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences. The Ph.D. programme at IIT Bhubaneswar is offered in almost all major research areas in Engineering.

Admission to Under Graduate B.Tech programmes of IIT Bhubaneshwar are done through
JEE Advanced. For Post Graduate programmes leading to award of M.Tech a valid
GATE Score is required. All Qualified GATE Candidates, who have submitted application for M.Tech. admission, should also register at Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) for making decision against admission offers (if any).
