KIITEE

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination or KIITEE is conducted by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Bhubaneswar for admission to its various undergraduate, postgraduate engineering courses such as B.Arch, B.Tech, etc. Other than these the university also conducts entrance test for various other courses such as Integrated MCA, M.Sc Nursing, MBA, M.Tech, B.Sc Nursing, B.Des, BBA, BBA LLB, BA LLB, MBBS, BDS and also for some PhD courses.. The KIITEE is a computer-based test which will be conducted in English. Admission to all the courses (except MBBS,BDS,PG Medical & PG Dental) will be ONLY through KIITEE.

KIITEE will have no examination fees and the application forms and prospectus can be downloaded from their official website www.kiit.ac.in.

KIITEE Seat Reservation

The seat allocation of candidates is based on merit alone. The reservation of seats for KIITEE as follows:
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  • Physically Challenged (PC): 3%

KIITEE Eligibility Criteria

KIITEE eligibility criteria may vary depending upon the type of course that you have applied. Give below is the eligibility criteria for various courses offered by KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) (4 Years), B.Tech & M.Tech Dual Degree (5 years), B.Tech & MBA Dual Degree (5 years):

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology, Biology and Computer Science as the core subjects in 10 2 or other equivalent examination.

Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years as on July 1st in the year in which the candidate will appear for the entrance exam.

B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) (3 years)

The candidates who have a three-year Diploma in engineering from the State Council of Technical Education with a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks are eligible for this course.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 24 years as on July 1st in the year in which the candidate will appear for the entrance exam.

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) (5 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 60% marks in their 10+2 or other equivalent examination with Maths as a main subject. Other than these, they should also have a valid National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score..
Age Limit: Should not be more than 24 years as on July 1st in the year in which the candidate will appear for the entrance exam.

MBBS/ BDS

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) for general category candidates and 40% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) for candidates belonging to SC and ST category in their 10 plus 2 or other equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects.
 
Age Limit: Should be a minimum 17 years old and maximum 25 years old in the year in which the candidate will appear for the entrance exam. For the reserved category candidates, there is a relaxation of years in the upper age limit.

B.Sc. Nursing (4 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 45% marks in their 10 2 or other equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects.
Age Limit: Should be a minimum 17 years old and maximum 35 years old in the year in which the candidate will appear for the entrance exam.

B.A LL.B/ BBA LL.B/ B.Sc LL.B (5 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent examination. Whereas for B.Sc LL.B candidates, they should score 45% marks in the science stream.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years.

BBA (3 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10 2 or other equivalent examination in any subject. However, they should have Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Economics/Statistics as one of their subjects in 10 plus 2.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years.

BCA (3 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10 2 or other equivalent examination in any subject. They should have Mathematics as one of their subjects in 10 2.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) (Fashion/ Textile) (4 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10 2 or other equivalent examination in any subject from a recognized state or central board.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years.

Bachelor of Film & Television Production (3 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10 2 or other equivalent examination in any subject from a recognized state or central board.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 21 years.

Master of Technology (2 years)

The candidate should have a first class or equivalent CGPA point in the B.E., B.Tech or other equivalent degree such as AMIE, GRADE-IETE in their respective Engineering and Technology field. Preference in the selection process will be given those candidates who have qualified through GATE and those who have scored 400 or above in GATE, will not be required to appear for KIITEE.

MCA (3 years)

The candidate should atleast score a minimum of 50% marks with Maths as a subject in either graduation or in 10+2.
Age Limit: Should not be more than 24 years.

M.Sc. (Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology)

The candidates must complete their bachelor's degree in any branch of the following discipline with at least 55% marks

The candidate should score a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST) from an Indian Nursing Council (INC)-recognised institute. They should be a registered midwife or nurse or other equivalent with the Nursing Registration.

Master of Mass Communication

The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline scoring a minimum of 50% marks.

KIITEE Exam Pattern

KIITEE  will be an online (computer based) test set in English for duration of 180 minutes (3 hours) which closes automatically after the candidate completes their allotted time for the entrance exam. For answering, the candidates will have to click on the question number which is shown at the bottom of the computer screen. Once a question is answered, it will be marked green and for all the un-attempted or unanswered questions, it will reflect in blue colour. The KIITEE question paper pattern varies depending upon the course to which candidate have applied

KIITEE Marking Scheme

Each question will have four possible answers and a correct answer will earn the candidate four marks, and there is a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect response answer. The test time extends for 3 hours (180 minutes).
