OUAT Entrance Exam

The OUAT entrance exam is conducted by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The University offers education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry in the semester system. Research and Extension programmes are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in different parts of the state.

OUAT Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

For UG Courses:

Course: B.Sc (Ag)
Minimum Qualification: 10+2 passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM or PCB

Course: B.Sc (Forestry)
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2 passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).    
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM or PCB

Course: B.Sc (Horticulture)
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2 passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).    
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM or PCB

Course: B.V.Sc. & A.H.
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2  passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).   Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCB

Course: B.Tech (Ag. Engineering)
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2  passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).    
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM

Course: B.F.Sc.
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2 passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).    
Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM

Course: B.Sc. (Home Science)
Minimum Qualification: 10 plus 2 passed with Science subjects with minimum 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).   Subjects in Qualifying Exam: PCM or PCB

For PG Courses:

Course: M.Sc (Botany)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Botany) with minimum 50%

Course: M.Sc (Chemistry)
Minimum Qualification:  3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Chemistry) 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Course: M.Sc (Mathematics)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours in Mathematics) / B.Sc. (Hons.)/Core/Major in Mathematics and computing with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Course: M.Sc (Microbiology)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Botany / Zoology /Microbiology / Biotechnology) / B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.V.Sc. & A.H / B.F.Sc./B.Sc.(Horticulture)/B.Tech. (Dairy Science/Biotechnology)/B.H.M.S with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Course: M.Sc (Physics)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Physics)

Course: M.Sc (Zoology)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Zoology) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Course: M.Sc (Biotechnology)
Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc. (with Honours/Core/Major in Biotechnology) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

Minimum Qualification: 3 years B.Sc (with Honours/Core/Major in Comuter Science) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Minimum Qualification Required for Ph.D Programme:

Course: Ph.D Course: Physics
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Physics with minimum 55% marks

Course: Chemistry
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.

Course: Mathematics
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks.

Course: Botany
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Botany with minimum 55% marks.

Course: Zoology
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Zoology with minimum 55% marks.

Course: Microbiology
Minimum Qualification: M.Sc in Microbiology with minimum 6.5% or OGPA 6.5.qualifying exam.

OUAT Entrance Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for OUAT CET is the same science syllabus followed by state and CBSE boards for Annual 2 exam.

OUAT Entrance Exam Exam Pattern

For UG courses:
The entrance exam is of two hours duration and maximum score one can get in the exam is 200 marks.

For PG & PhD Courses:
The entrance exam is of two hours duration and maximum score one can get in the exam is 100 marks. The exam consists of 40 marks worth objective-type questions and short answer type questions of 60 marks.
